Position Overview The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, will consult, advise, coach and partner with leadership on people and organizational needs, ensuring alignment with the company and HR objectives. This position will influence the overall people strategy and ensure effective execution of HR solutions to achieve desired business results. A successful candidate will have extensive and progressive HR Generalist experience within multiple HR disciplines, in-depth knowledge of HR practices and prior experience managing complex employee relations issues. This position will be based in the RTP, NC Headquarters. Job Responsibilities Provide HR consulting & support to key stakeholder groups as it relates to human resources programs and policies including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, organizational development, culture, compensation, benefits, performance management and training. Actively contribute to people-related strategy across functions by bringing best practice perspectives to strategic and operational business discussions and people management decision-making. Maintain an awareness of changes within the organization and provide tools to enable leaders to effectively manage change by helping them anticipate the impact on employees, minimize disruption resulting from change and develop employees into change agents/resilient leaders. Support the resolution of complex people and employee relations issues through coaching business leaders on people-related matters. Advise leaders in dealing with employee relations issues including the development and facilitation of performance improvement plans, as needed. Partner with the legal team to understand trends in employee performance issues and advise on appropriate remediation. Continuously monitor the pulse of the organization and suggest ideas to leadership to better engage, motivate and support employees. Provide HR generalist support on common HR issues covering areas like:
HR policies/processes, benefits, payroll, time and attendance, compensation, recruitment, learning, and performance management. Create job descriptions for new and existing positions, and assist hiring managers with the completion of the job requisition process in Workday to support the company's hiring efforts. Assist with local onboarding process to ensure completion of all pre-employment steps as well as new hire paperwork, HRIS data set-up and on-going support to new hires in collaboration with HR Coordinator. Ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to HR operations in collaboration with People Operations Team. Manage offboarding process and conduct exit interviews with employees leaving, sharing suggestions for organizational improvement/retention strategies with the HR Leadership Team. Serve as project lead or participant, and champion employee-related initiatives, and utilize data to identify organizational effectiveness opportunities and to measure the impact of efforts. Orchestrate the delivery and implementation of core HR programs and processes in partnership with the global HR team. Required Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in HR, or a related field, and a minimum five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience, including applicable military service, may substitute for education requirement. Preferred Experience & Skills Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite Software (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint and Human Capital Management Systems (Workday preferred). Experience with International HR in global biopharmaceutical organizations. Ability to listen, understand people and organizational challenges, conceptualize solutions, and coach internal stakeholders with focus on a positive outcome for organization and all involved. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization. Ability to monitor the pulse of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement. Understanding of country-specific labor related regulations, procedures, and standards. Strong sense of urgency and a record of proactively taking initiative with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and prioritize requests simultaneously. Continuous improvement mindset with a desire to develop new and improve existing processes. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
HR Generalists & Business PartnersEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
