The Assistant Controller reports to the Controller and assists with managing the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, payroll, and general ledger functions, assists with streamlining the month-end close process while maintaining accurate financial results, ensures internal controls compliance, assists with timeliness and accuracy of SEC filings, and participates in other special projects as assigned. This role will provide also provide ongoing assistance to the Controller and Finance team based on continued business needs and growth of the Company.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting of transactions, policies, controls, and procedures Ensures accurate and complete financial records and reporting, in compliance with legal requirements and US GAAP standards Coordinate with Manager, Finance and Controller on technical research and document key accounting policies Ensure accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting. Continuously improve processes to scale with the organization Lead the monthly closing and financial reporting process including review of journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations Participation in the preparation and review of SEC disclosures for the 10-Q and 10-K and any other SEC filings Identify and lead reporting improvements to systems, processes, and internal controls Assist the Controller in managing the Company's SOX compliance and ensure the control environment is operating effectively Build relationships cross-functionally to foster collaboration with clinical, CMC, supply chain, R&D and commercial teams Provide support with overseeing inventory and revenue processes Assist with the coordination of the tax provision and tax return with external tax professionals Assist with treasury management, including accounts receivable and accounts payable oversight, and company insurance coverages Assist with internal and external audit requests Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA designation required 7-10 years of Accounting/Finance experience Experience within a publicly traded company required, life science industry a plus Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC Reporting and SOX compliance Experience with supervising and managing teams Experience using ERP accounting system required - SAP currently in use Experience using an invoice management system required - Concur currently in use Experience using SEC reporting software Experience in inventory accounting and gross to net revenue accounting a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other relevant MS Office applications required Experience in managing accounting processes and reporting deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth operating company Excellent decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Accounting, Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
