Marine Corps Heritage Foundation is seeking a Database Administrator to maintain data storage; assess database design; and gather, organize, and interpret statistical information based on the data in the database.
Responsibilities:
Duties include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain the overall database integrity and quality, including routine data improvement, data auditing, practice enforcement, security and code value management, systems checks, and database functions Perform regular system backups Recommend, implement, and manage system upgrades Manage internal processes for maintaining donor list and fundraising reports, including updating database with information for donations, new donors, changes to current donors and Board of Directors Manage records and donor relations for monthly donor and other pledge programs Maintain tracking list of all donations received; confirm donations with Development staff Import and export data from various sources including manual entry:
Remote Capture (Weekly) Every Action DMP Assist with gift prioritization processing and acknowledgements (Minimum Bi-Weekly) Integrate electronic acknowledgements using Raisers Edge Manage and execute gift processing, batch entry, donation coding, prepare back-up gift documentation, approve matching and employee contribution campaign gifts, and make adjustments Keep track of outstanding pledges, periodically producing and sending reminder letters to donors Generate lists to identify, mine, and analyze prospects for fundraising and outreach initiatives (2-Week Turnaround) Generate lists with appropriate Suppressions Manage fundraising appeals and fulfillment coding Application of Appeal to Constituent Records Model Data Requests (3-4) to coincide with acquisitions Provide and review monthly and annual accounting reports for accurate reconciliation with Finance Ad hoc development queries Assist with program administration:
Commemorative Brick Program (Monthly, Quarterly, and as needed) Generate brick registration certificates Generate brick engraving orders Generate brick install spreadsheets Process install location details and update locator database Generate and send brick locator letters Commemorative Plaque/Tribute Program Commandants Circle Program Friends Program Why Not Be A Friend? Friend Movement Devil Dog Program 1775 Society Other membership and recognition programs as needed Track and communicate updates and changes to databases to appropriate departments Assess and implement other technology-based solutions for fundraising, marketing, and communications and providing fundraising related webpages Identify opportunities for systems integration for improved data quality, reduced data entry, and increase cross-departmental collaboration Identify, review, and provide recommendations for improving efficiencies and operational processes Update donor wealth screenings and other fundraising-related data Assist in preparation of reports for various departments Prepare mailing lists for events, newsletters, and appeals Assist with event preparation tasks as requested by Development staff Accomplish all tasks appropriately assigned or requested Requirements:
Education/
Experience:
4-year degree in a related field desired 5
years related experience and/or training in database administration for a nonprofit organization Technological Skills:
Experience with data import/export, queries, designing and generating reports from a relational database Experience with managing a database and web-based systems Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Proficient in Google Workspace Experience working with accounting software Proficient in SQL Server management, Alteryx and Tableau Proficiency in Raisers Edge desired Required Knowledge and Skills:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-20 pounds.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard.
The employee frequently is required to be in one position for long periods of screen use, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear both in person and over devices.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
